The head of the UFO office at the Pentagon and a scientist from Harvard have drafted a paper that suggests the presence of a roaming alien mothership in the solar system. They further propose that this mothership could be deploying small probes called "dandelion seeds" to explore other planets inside the star system.

Alien Mothership in the Solar System?

As per Live Science, the duo mentioned in the paper the possibility of an alien mothership roaming around the cosmic neighborhood and exploring areas through dandelion seeds, which are small spacecraft that could collect and relay data.

Both Avi Loeb, an astronomer from Harvard University, and Sean M. Kirkpatrick, the director of the AARO (All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office) at the Pentagon, established the Department of Defense in July 2022 to pick up and look into objects of interest. Their draft paper was recently released. While it is not an official document of the Pentagon, it was conducted in partnership with the Department of Defense. The report is yet to be reviewed by peers.

According to Marca, the report further suggests that alien life may have used AI-powered probes to travel to earth. It proposes that an artificial interstellar object, such as Oumuamua, may be a mother craft that deploys smaller probes as it nears the earth.

Such small probes, which are commonly referred to as UFOs, could be utilized for civilization infiltration for research reasons. The pair compared this with NASA missions wherein technology is parachuted to different planets through flybys.

Dandelion Seeds

Based on the report, such probes could be capable of withstanding harsh space conditions and even be powered by AI. They may have self-repair abilities programmed within them, or they may be able to reproduce items as long as they have the right knowledge and technological expertise, such as 3D printing.

The pair further suggests that, with machine learning, the tiny probes may adapt to unfamiliar circumstances without any supervision or guidance from their source creators.

The authors also write that these dandelion seeds could be equipped with a big surface-to-mass parachute ratio that could let them slow down in the atmosphere of the earth. This, in turn, helps prevent burning and assists them in meeting their landing objectives.

Could Aliens Be Watching Earth?

The paper further notes that any devices that are functional and embedded in the atmosphere of the earth do not carry biological life. This is because alien life would be unable to survive the harsh interstellar conditions and the overall rough journey.

While the report is still being reviewed, if the findings are indeed precise, it could imply that alien life is already examining life on earth. Such a possibility is not one that authorities should lightly dismiss.
