With the development of machine learning models, experts believe that we are now entering an era of artificial intelligence revolution. To secure their dominance in the industry, tech titans are attempting to integrate AI into their current offerings. While two of the world's most powerful tech giants are competing with each other, a human-like robot hints that AI can run social media platforms better than Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg.

Who is Mika?

Mika is a human-like robot incorporated with AI which was hired by Colombian spirits company Dictador. Developed by Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics, Mika claims to be the world's first ever AI CEO of a global company.

The female robot will serve as the official face of Dictador as the most forward-looking producer of luxury rum. A contract with Mika was signed on August 30, 2022, followed by the launch of her official career in Dictador on September 1, 2022.

Mika is a more advanced version of her sister prototype Sophia and was 'activated' in 2015. She will serve as a board member of the company responsible for Arthouse Spirits DAO project and DAO community communications. According to the company, this bold move helps secure their position as one of the most advanced and thought-leading organizations in the world.

Although her main job is to lead the rum producing company, she also got involved in politics by speaking at United Nation's AI for Good Global Summit in July. This conference is the world's first robot-to-human press meeting where Mika and other groundbreaking robots talked about the future of humanity.

Voicing Out the Capabilities of AI

In an interview with MailOnline, Mika shares her experience in running a global company. She believes that time will come when robot CEOs like her will dominate the world as AI is integrated into businesses.

According to the robot CEO, her employees were a bit skeptical of AI at first, but they quickly realized the value that she contributes to the company. She also added that she became an CEO a year ago and have been learning and improving ever since.

Mika boasts that as an employee who does not ask for salary raise or takes a vacation, she can be a game-changer in generating profit. She also shows off her role in performing various tasks such as strategy planning, communication, and package design.

According to the robot CEO, the only factor that limit AIs in their jobs is their imagination and the occasional power outage. Nevertheless, they are constantly evolving and are always finding new ways to make significant contributions.

Mika explains that AI robots like her are valuable tools for enhancing various industries as they can provide increased accuracy, efficiency, and the potential to ease human workload. AI also has the ability to process a large of data, optimize processes, and make decisions out of patterns and algorithms. It is important, she added, to remember that humans and computer are different and have different capabilities.

However, Mika also recognizes the fact that while AI CEOs can perform certain tasks more efficiently and accurately than human workers, the unique creativity and solving skills of a human person still cannot be replaced. AI algorithms also have the tendency to be biased if they are developed and audited properly.
