The Samsung Galaxy series has been famous for providing top of the line specs that can handle almost anything. And that's the same thing with the latest Galaxy S6. It boasts an Octa Core application processor, an extremely high resolution display. But there's one thing that falls flat on its face when compared to the iPhone 6 or the iPhone 6 Plus.

That's the graphics performance.

According to Apple Insider, the first benchmarks clearly show that Samsung is making poor engineering choices to win the "spec war" against Apple.

It was during 2010 when Steve Jobs introduced the world to the Retina Display. At that time, Samsung was not focusing on larger devices, and it was only after the introduction of retina displays, when Samsung started to increase the size of its devices and also the resolution of their displays.

But Apple stayed on its path of changing the resolution of their displays every 2 years. And the result of that, was the developers having an easier time managing their apps and focusing on developing them and managing the resolutions, instead of testing it on different configurations. And it is because of that reason, why we see all the new apps and games being released for iOS devices first, and then Android.

We do think that Samsung has been pushing the display resolution numbers so fast that it has already surpassed its own processor capabilities. This resulted in poor graphic performance.

We also noted that after Apple took the leap of faith to include the Retina HD 1080p screen on the iPhone 6 Plus, there was a drop in the graphics performance compared to the 2013's iPhone 5s performance. The frame rates dropped from 24.4 to 19.2 fps.

Theoretically, the chips that Samsung is using, should compare to the performance that iPhone's deliver had it not included the super high resolution displays.
