Business runs on awareness and communication. Without these, there is almost zero chance that a company can survive, let alone thrive. It's possible to have the best product and a skilled staff, but unless the right hand and left hand work in congress and in an informed state, wheels are spinning. It might not be intuitive to think of Andrei Chemlev as a master of communication, but he is. At least, he is regarding his ability to facilitate a higher degree of this with his abilities. An engineer and technical lead, Mr. Chemlev has worked with massive companies in various corners of the globe to aid them in attaining the highest level of cognizance. A problem solver by nature, Andrei thrives in scenarios where gains can be achieved through technology interfacing with businesses and customers. He's proven this time and time again with remarkably beneficial outcomes. As technology becomes increasingly integrated into our world, Andrei's work illustrates how it is something to be embraced rather than a point of concern.

Anyone who has ever been inside a Lowe's brick & Mortar is aware of the excitement and overwhelming nature of the experience. When the company needed a large-scale product configurator used across both the online store and in-store kiosk systems, it was Andrei whom they turned to. Focused on the support, maintenance, and improvement of the existing microfrontend architecture, Andrei enhanced the deep integrations, tuning services, and ordering platforms, ensuring platform scalability. In simplest terms, these proprietary "color-sample" kiosks would now be updated to enable customers to scan paint samples and customize their orders in terms of brand, shade, volume, and additives. The result will be an easier process with greater specificity. Mr. Chemlev describes, "I started from scratch and continue to improve to this day a standalone micro frontend called Color Wall: a module for visual comparison of hundreds of shades with interactive palettes, in-room preview, and a smooth transition to the main configurator. In parallel, I migrated the codebase to TypeScript and optimized state management, reducing the full render cycle when changing parameters from approximately 400 milliseconds to 4 milliseconds. I actively participated in integrating the configurator with adjacent Lowe's applications—PRO tools for contractors." Results of this were a radical improvement of UI rendering and re-rendering speed, literally over 100 times faster, and parameter changes were achieved almost instantaneously. This clearly improved Core Web Vitals and overall UI responsiveness. Overall, this process catered to both online and in-store customers in a manner that communicated their immense value to Lowes.

Wildberries might be described as Russia's version of Amazon. During his tenure there, Andrei has served as the tech lead and lead software engineer, searching for a better system for users of this service. Managing ten frontend engineers and coordinating with a cross-functional team of approximately ninety people, he significantly designed a unified design system and a shared architecture so that both the web application (React + MobX) and the mobile app (React Native + Expo + MobX) could share business logic. One of his most benevolent creations was an "offline-first" mechanism (IndexedDB on web, SQLite on mobile, synchronization via WebSocket) which allowed operators to work even in the complete absence of network connectivity. Importantly, he also introduced a monorepository, TypeScript across all services, and end-to-end test automation (Jest + Playwright + GitLab CI). The massive results of these are easily quantifiable. The offline functionality reduced product intake time by nine times and prevented losses of up to $150,000 per minute during network outages. Incredibly, partner dissatisfaction dropped to zero during crisis situations. The unification of web and mobile architecture enabled team optimization, reducing the need for separate teams by approximately 30% without slowing release cycles. Platform reliability and training initiatives grew the partner pickup network from 10,000 to 35,000 locations (an increase of 65%) and expanded presence from three to seven countries. An astounding 50% reduction in turnover was established, contributing to an increase of more than $12 billion in annual revenue during Andrei's tenure. Leaning into communication, Andrei also designed and implemented a streaming video platform for Wildberry clients to communicate with the company, replacing services like Google Meet and others, and thus saving the company hundreds of thousands of dollars in licensing fees. This platform has become the core for training webinars, reducing onboarding time for new franchisees by approximately 40%. Thanks to smart layout and built-in polls, average user engagement has increased by 23%, based on internal Engagement Score metrics.

A business intelligence system like 1C-Analytics must be forward-leaning to supply the most current data and solutions to its customers. Andrei was brought in to modernize fully the frontend of 1C:Analytics. He achieved this by migrating it from an outdated custom templating system to a modern React + MobX + TypeScript stack with code-splitting, Storybook, and strict typing. Developing core functionality blocks, enhancing the DSL language, and an end-to-end Playwright pipeline were just some of the new features Andrei integrated. Ultimately, the result was a quicker, cleaner, and more intuitive UI. This updated version of 1C:Analytics has received broad recognition and significant positive feedback from a wide variety of industries, including logistics, food services, universities, and manufacturing. A deluge of formal letters of appreciation from these companies gives evidence of the benefits of its use. Mr. Chemlev communicates, "When I do my job at the highest level, everyone wins; the company, its partners, the public, and myself. Communication is the source of every failure or success, and by making it clearer for all involved parties, I'm able to maximize the potential for success. I find this to be an incredibly gratifying aspect of the career I've spent my life in."
