A new voice changer technology will soon utilize artificial intelligence to modify the input audio of users into an accurate character. Known as Voicemod, the program will produce a precise enhancement to transform a voice closer to how the pop-culture characters sound.

To test the performance of their latest adjustment, the firm behind Voicemod launched a beta version of their application.

According to the reports, Voicemod AI Voices beta is expected to have about eight options for setting a voice depending on the preferred output users want. The preset audios include pilots, fantasy characters, astronauts, and the famous voice of award-winning actor Morgan Freeman.

Voicemod has already been offering services through various programs for online streaming and social media content for years. Among the applications is Voicelab, a predecessor of the new AI mod they will launch today.

Through the combination of artificial intelligence and voice recognition, a user of Voicemod could easily produce a recording that mimics the voice of actors and pop-culture characters, regardless of how the person's voice sounds.

The sounds from a user's voice are processed and polished in real-time as they talk. Moreover, the application could work simultaneously with other streaming or conferencing platforms such as Discord and Twitch, reports The Verge.

The data used for reference to render Voicemod outputs were developed through the collaboration of professional voice actors with varying styles. This set will match the voice of the users and recreate it as close as the AI can to the selected model chosen.

The developers programmed other polishing features for the voice to generate an even more precise sound, leaving listeners believing they were talking with the characters. Additional effects for the voice include filters, dynamics, and background music.

Future of Voice Recreation and Cloning

Because the Voicemod program is a downloadable application, users might consider running it via a high-end PC since it will utilize space for installation and require a powerful processor for real-time rendering.

Interested developers and creators can try the program by signing up to the Voicemod AI Voices (beta) portal. Users could give feedback about the quality and performance of the application. The main version is exclusively available on a PC, but a limited version could also be obtained on a mobile phone.

Programs like Voicemod have been expanding throughout recent years. Alongside entertainment, recreation and voice cloning also helped many people who are not confident with their voices or struggling to produce audible voices due to health conditions.

Voice-changing apps are the most convenient approach to transforming voices into something people want to have. These small changes are significantly effective at boosting the morale of many individuals, including groups with voice problems, when facing many people during meetings or even talking casually with peers and families.

The future of voice technology is at hand, and sometime soon, we might have our preferred speech setup without having to depend on computers or installed programs.
