Her grandmother died of kidney failure, which was explicitly linked to the administration of excessive pain medication. She says, "AI and data can transform lives—for example, through predictive analytics so we can enable timely insights to ensure positive treatment outcomes."
Furthermore, Niveditha would lose both her grandfather and her father-in-law on the same day to COVID-19 due to a lack of treatment options. These tragedies cemented her commitment to healthcare transformation.
