The top US infectious disease specialist says that long-term COVID-19 effects should be treated seriously. Such a thing may be a problem as more individuals catch the virus.

COVID long haulers are described as those whose signs last more than 28 days following their diagnosis. Top medical experts puzzled these patients after the phenomenon occurred last year. During the MSNBC's Rachel Maddow Show, Dr. Anthony Fauci warned of several leading indicators to watch out for.

PERTH, AUSTRALIA - APRIL 20: A clinical staff member holds a BCG vial and syringe in the trial clinic at Sir Charles Gairdner hospital on April 20, 2020 in Perth, Australia. Healthcare workers in Western Australia are participating in a new trial to test whether an existing tuberculosis vaccine can help reduce their chances of contracting COVID-19. 2000 frontline staff from Fiona Stanley, Sir Charles Gairdner and Perth Children's Hospital are taking part in the research trial, which will see half of participants receiving the existing Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine in addition to their flu vaccine, while the other half receive the regular flu shot. The BCG vaccine was originally developed to work against tuberculosis, but it is hoped it might help reduce the chance of contracting coronavirus as well as lessen the severity of symptoms and boost immunity in the long term. The BRACE trial is being led by by the Murdoch Children's Research Institute.

Severe Fatigue

Fauci advised Maddow that you might experience "severe fatigue," and now he has been discussing this for a while. In July, Dr. Fauci told Medscape that experts don't want to panic people and warn them. Experts should also realize that the general public doesn't know what the long-term effects are, except though it seems like a recurring infection.

Muscle Aches

Muscle aches and pains, or myalgia, is another primary symptom of long COVID and myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome. Your torso, your spine, your thighs, and in certain situations, such as costochondritis, may sound like a heart attack (but not). These can show themselves everywhere.

Temperature Dysregulation

Fauci suggests you might have "temperature dysregulation," and the World Neurology Federation also discusses it. Before being contaminated with SARS-CoV-2, experts said most of these patients were in good condition. In the acute period, they also had myriad symptoms. But, as the fever and respiratory symptoms stabilized, chronic systemic symptoms are left with them, some of which eventually change. However, not all of them follow that path.

Brain Fog

Dr. Fauci told Maddow that some patients also experience brain fog. New York Times defined such matter as "disturbing neurological symptoms that may involve memory loss, confusion, concentrating trouble, dizziness, and grasping for normal terms.

What should you do if you suffer from Long COVID?

If you experience some of these signs, please inform your healthcare provider. While physicians really don't know how to heal it, they will better relieve the symptoms. Dr. Fauci claims that Long COVID is intensively researched by the medical establishment.

Dr. Fauci has no clue how long this long-haul COVID-19 syndrome persists. He says that the notion if you get sick, that you just have no signs or that you fail, and that you're all right if you don't die, that's just not real.

All the more reason to stop in the first instance capturing COVID. Carry a face mask, social distance, avoid big groups, don't go indoors with people with whom you don't shelter (especially in bars), exercise proper hand hygiene, get vaccinated when you have access to it.
