The Dutch government has issued a warning that various necklaces, sleep masks, and children's wristbands that purport to shield against the alleged detrimental effects of 5G phone networks are highly radioactive.

People should stop wearing these accessories and keep them carefully until instructions on how to return them are released.

Anti-5G Necklaces Cause Harmful Radiation, Authorities Warn

The nuclear specialists want to warn anyone who owns the pendants. These necklaces, according to Gizmodo, contain hazardous ionizing radiation as a result of conspiracy beliefs.

A pendant, a sleep mask, two necklaces, and five different bracelets, including one for children, were all given product alerts by the Dutch Authority for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ANVS).

"The sellers in the Netherlands known to the ANVS have been told that the sale is prohibited and must be stopped immediately, and that they must inform their customers about this," the ANVS said per Independent.

Despite no proof that the mobile network poses a public health concern, conspiracy theories have developed a market for selling "anti-5G" equipment. During the Covid-19 outbreak, conspiracy theories were especially prevalent.

Forbes said Energy Armor and Magnetix Wellness are affected by the notifications. Although these goods are faintly radioactive, scientists have warned that wearing them for an extended period might cause tissue and DNA harm.

Scientists did not rule out the chance that additional products were radioactive and encouraged users to keep objects with a "negative ion effect" in a safe place.

Despite this, some potentially deadly goods are still available for purchase on sites like Shopify and Amazon.

5G Links to Health

There is no indication that 5G networks are harmful to one's health, the World Health Organization said. Vox said 5G networks had sparked a slew of conspiracy theories despite this. One of which claims that the networks account for the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sellers of "anti-5G" gadgets, such as those identified by ANVS, have found this to be rich terrain. Some of these objects, such as the "Quantum Pendant," also claim to have questionable health advantages, such as improved circulation and focus.

Ionizing radiation is harmful because it can cause the electrons in your atoms to become unstable and separate. According to the US Environmental Protection Agency, the impact can cause cell damage and long-term health issues such as cancer.

Wearing a necklace for so long would expose anyone to 21.9 millisieverts of ionizing radiation, according to ArsTechnica. In the United States, that's already half of the maximum permissible radiation for a normal radiation worker.

Wear it for a longer period of time, and the symptoms will become visible. The indicators of radiation poisoning can be pretty gruesome to include here, so do so at your peril.

According to Healthline, there isn't much evidence that alleged radioactivity exists. However, some of the most prevalent assertions, such as that 5G causes headaches, dizziness, and migraines in humans, are unsupported by evidence.
