Elon Musk has been using Starlink to beam internet connections in Ukraine amid the country's conflict with Russia. Starlink is a constellation of over 2,000 satellites in low Earth orbit that provides internet connections worldwide.

However, Musk recently tweeted out information from the Russian space agency's head accusing him of giving Starlink equipment to the so-called 'Nazi Azov Battalion' and the military branches of Ukraine. He joked in response to the threat, which is something that his mother does not find funny.

Elon Musk Vs. Russia

Musk, 50, has provided a large presence of his Starlink satellites to Ukraine to keep the country online amid the ongoing Russian invasion. According to MailOnline, Musk claims that they have been resisting hacking and jamming attempts of Russia back in April, which led SpaceX to focus on countermeasures at the expense of other projects.

But also due to Starlink's part in providing communication to Ukraine, Russia has accused Musk of aiding the militants of the Nazi Azov Battalion and the Marines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Musk tweeted a screenshot of information from Dmitry Rogozin, the head of Rosocosmos, allegedly telling the Russian media on Sunday night that Elon Musk is involved in supplying the fascist forces in Ukraine with communications and that he should answer to it in an adult way.

The official claimed that Starlink is giving Ukrainian armed forces the edge of winning the drone war since it could track the Russians invading its territory. Meanwhile, Musk who just recently bought Twitter also tweeted a response to the accusation by saying that he might "die under mysterious circumstances."

Starlink Different From Other Satellite Internet Providers

According to Business Insider, Rogozin has been feuding with Elon Musk ever since the Russian invasion started. Rogozin called the SpaceX and Tesla CEO "little devil" and criticized the Tesla Cybertruck.

Rogozin also mocked Elon for buying Twitter, calling him "moneybags" and speculating what it could mean for the free speech if he purchases the platform.

As of now, SpaceX has already launched more than 2,000 satellites out of its planned 12,000 by 2026. These satellites form a constellation different from other internet providers. Discover Magazine reported that these satellites are in low Earth orbit to move more data with minimal delay, especially in hard-to-reach places.

Also, Starlink is useful in video calls and online games, which are the main challenges that other internet providers face. Starlink is expected to deliver 1GB per second with no caps, which is more than enough for data-hungry households.

Musk previously said that the Starlink venture could give three billion people on Earth access to the internet, especially those who currently do not have access to it. Lastly, Starlink could be used in funding a future city on Mars.
