Dmitry Doev is among the top executives in the local market. The reformer of the largest gas company in the country has been heading one of the leading holdings of the domestic concession market since 2021.

The early Dmitry Doev biography is connected to Leningrad. He was born there in 1966, but the future manager spent the first three years of his life in Toropets, the oldest city of the Tver Region.

In the late 1960s, the Doev family returned to Leningrad and settled in an industrial suburb of the Northern Capital. Dmitry had to get to school by tram.

During his school years, he showed a penchant for studying the exact sciences, especially mathematics and physics. As a child, he dreamed of becoming an astronaut, but as he grew up, he decided to study engineering instead. His parents' example of work in a scientific field also helped him choose his profession.

Doev Dmitry Vitalievich thus decided to go to Leningrad Polytechnic University, where he underwent professional training in machine strength and dynamics. He graduated in 1989.

CAREER

Doev began his career at the Research Institute of Precision Instruments. The graduate of the polytechnic university was assigned to one of the leading enterprises of the space industry specializing in the production of systems and complexes for the automated control, convergence, and docking of spacecraft. He started out as an engineer in one of the research institute's laboratories.

Dmitry Doev then embarked upon the next stage of his career as a teacher at the same top-level institute where he himself had studied. He worked with students there for three years.

The future executive then got interested in entrepreneurship. For several years, he has been developing a multidisciplinary business structure, working with industrial enterprises (including those from the gas industry sector) to supply complex technological equipment. He has also been involved in investment and construction.

For 15 years (2004-2019), the manager held senior positions within the structures of PJSC Gazprom. Thanks to his work as the CEO of one of the corporation's structures - OAO Centrenergogaz - he can rightly be called a reformer in his field. Doev was tasked with developing and implementing a set of measures for the effective restructuring of the gas giant's repair assets. He managed to restructure business processes and separate the mining, processing, and transport divisions from the repair divisions in such a way that it did not negatively impact the quality of work. Moreover, the company has significantly scaled, opening branches throughout the country.

Since 2008, Doev has supervised about 20,000 employees specializing in diagnostics and equipment maintenance and repair, as well as capital construction works and the reconstruction of energy infrastructure. The manager took a direct part in the formation of the unified gas supply system. His initiatives concerning the introduction of advanced technologies at all stages of work facilitated the creation of a scheme for the uninterrupted supply of natural gas from the production site to the consumer.

After leaving Gazprom, the executive continued to build a managerial career at enterprises in the real sector of the economy.

Dmitry Vitalievich was recognized as one of the top leaders of the fuel and energy sector according to the publication General Director.

Dmitry Doev is working to carry out ambitious socially significant projects throughout the country. For example, VIS Group built and equipped a high-tech maternity and childhood protection center in Ugra - the only such medical institution in the Far North.

In the Republic of Sakha, the holding is building the first innovative polyclinic that will use the principles of SMART medicine, scheduled to open at the end of 2023. Patient examination results will be available to attending physicians online, which will reduce the time for diagnosis and prescribing treatment.

VIS Group's portfolio also includes large-scale projects for the construction of expressways and bridge crossings in various regions throughout the country.
