Panasonic launched their first fully detachable 2 in 1 device, the Toughbook CF-20. From its name alone, one can say that the product is meant for heavy duty work and endurance is its main feature. It is part of the company range of devices in the line of rugged business computers.

The Toughbook CF-20 body frame is made of tough magnesium alloy with polymer, hence making the product more capable in handling rugged lifestyle than most of the devices in the market. Devices today offer state of the art defenses against rough usage, but the Toughbook CF-20 endurance is more than enough to handle rough situations since its body is designed for sturdiness.

Considered as a tank device, The CF-20 also has elastomer edge protectors to guard the device against knocks and accidental falls. The device was also designed in military specifications with  its magnesium grade body where those computers are used by soldiers during combat. It has IP65 waterproof and dust proof rating that adds resistance for casualties. The device is also designed to handle extreme weathers like snow and underwater activities.

The Toughbook CF-20 can handle more than the enough required applications with its powered and latest Intel Core m5-6Y57 vPro Skylake processor with an internal storage of 256 GB and 8 GB of RAM. It also offers a swappable 2600 mAh battery, thus giving the device the ability to prolong its life longer up to 14 hours. The operating system that runs the Toughbook CF-20 is Windows 10 pro.

One of the physical feature of the device is the built-in handle, thus making it easier for the user to use the device in different situations. The device is not only built for toughness, it is also built for comfort because it has a 10.1 inch display, which is touch screen capable.

The scheduled release of the tablet is in January with a starting price of £2,218 without VAT.
