Lenovo has been well known for creating wonders in terms of its smart devices and handsets. The company has now pushed its efforts to make an augmented and virtual reality based headset. The world of virtual realism has been long been ruled by HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and Microsoft Hololens headsets. But this era might not last more. as Lenovo is reportedly innovating a revolutionary headset having compiled support for both augmented and virtual reality and it will predictably run on Windows 10 support.

According to Road to VR, Lenovo's next AR/VR-based gadget will possibly be powered by Windows Holographic. Introduced with Microsoft's very own augmented reality headset: Hololens, Windows Holographic holds a bundle of Windows 10 OS evolved APIs. But this will be the first time when Windows Holographic will run an AR/VR headset with Microsoft's partner Lenovo for the creation of Windows Mixed Reality headset. As per earlier reports, Lenovo also showcased the first instance of its upcoming Hololens prototype headset in this year's Consumer Electronic Show too.

As per a report by Digital Trends, the strategic partnership will mark the pathway for AR/VR integrated headsets. Lenovo's Vice President of consumer products: Mike Abary stated that the tech giant has primarily designed the headset as a virtual reality device, leaving forward-facing stereo cameras, this will enable the device to be used as an augmented reality headset as well. He further mentioned that the tech fans can expect to see Lenovo Mixed Reality headset by the "back-to-school" season. This indication hints that the device might possibly go in stores by the end of 2017.

Although, nothing appropriate has been revealed about the pricing index, availability and release date of this device. But Abary further stated that Lenovo mixed reality headset will be tagged at lower price range than Oculus Rift.
