Samsung plans to introduce a more secure Galaxy S8 smartphone in select markets. The new smartphones will be incorporated with enhanced security to facilitate a safer transacting environment by inserting an eSE chip that will take care of things. Samsung says the new phone will arrive in the markets with an additional layer of security in select markets while the list of all countries of the new device is unknown.

The Galaxy S8 family is Samsung's latest flagship devices into the market that has an exclusivity with Qualcomm for using their Snapdragon 835 premium chip on the new smartphones. Samsung had to bounce back into the competition after an unfortunate debacle due to the exploding batteries on the Note 7 phablet which was recalled on a global scale.

As noted from Android Headlines, the eSE chip on the phone moderates interacts between the device and the NFC reader during payments by protecting sensitive data that is being transmitted to the PoS device. Gemalto, the chip manufacturer says the chip is tamper-proof and also comes with a secure application. The new chip on the Galaxy S8 smartphone will also support the proprietary payment system, Samsung Pay by the manufacturer.

According to reports from NFC World, Gemalto said that Samsung can deploy their secure services anywhere in the world. The Galaxy S8 smartphone isn't the first device to be equipped with an eSE chip since Samsung has previously used the same chip on their other devices too.

Samsung Galaxy S8, the current flagship device comes with an infinity display that has no physical buttons on the front in a rare move from Samsung. While the placement of the fingerprint sensor is a bit unreachable for many, Samsung has also offered an iris scanner for unlocking the device. The devices begin at a price of $649.
