Science Discoveries in 2019 Will Be Significant and Will Have Impact on the World of Science
(Photo : images.theconversation.com) Science claims in 2019, will have an effect on aspects of science that concern it. Learning more about them, will give more insight and understand these claims better. There will be bigger discoveries later, as science keeps on searching for new facts.

The quest of science to discover something new is what counts the most. Through research and study through the scientific method, the scientist learns more about the world around them. Discoveries in 2019, with the going-on that will change the scientific landscape when everything is validated and proven. Discoveries are found in the most unexpected places, and more often than not, they change the world. And those alive today will witness the changes as they unravel.

1. When dinosaurs died out 65 million years ago (MYA)

It was not only an asteroid that killed the dinosaurs when it hit the earth, but there was also a cataclysmic earthquake that killed them. One site in North Dakota had indications of the chaos after the strike. One left out item was that fossil remains were pterosaurs with feathers found in the dig site. One implication is that dinosaurs were dying out before the fatal planet-killer hit. Having fewer dino fossils might point out that the impact was just the coup de grâce to kill them off finally.

2. Watery skies of an exoplanet

Astronomers found the exoplanet K2 18b about 110 light-years away, with water vapor. Finding exoplanets with water vapor is important because it might have a thriving ecosystem like earth. The launch of NASA's James Webb Space Telescope, in 2021 will help confirm if there is indeed water in K218b. Terra-forming will not be possible without water, and the exoplanet might be a good guess to start with. But, having water does not mean there is life on it though.

3. Under the ice of Antarctica

The cold land Antarctica has a secret recently discovered, it was an unexpected surprise. When Lake Mercer was dredged to see what lies under the soil, microbes were thriving and living underneath. Another was remains of tardigrades, crustaceans, including worms and spiders which were transported by ice or water there.

4. Primitive man found in Luzon Philippines

Finding the 50,000-year old remains of Homo luzonenis, a primitive hominid, and the ancient human-like creature that existed in the Philippine islands. These primitive creatures are not related to homo sapiens, but another species. They are just one of the hominid species that road the islands a long time ago. It proves that the Philippines is home to man's early ancestors as well.

5. Neutron crash in a distant galaxy

Two neutron stars crashed their masses together, it sent photons and charged particles out into space. These flashes of gamma rays were detected as they collided with each other. More data is needed to verify it and find out more about these jets.

6. ESP and the sixth sense

Lab experiments detected brainwave patterns when exposed to a natural magnetic field. A pattern was seen, but not very conclusive at all. It might be a manifestation of the sixth sense, is yet to be proven.

7. Disease wiped out by gamma waves

Experiments that used gamma waves in the brain had a marked effect in mice to reduce abnormalities. Researchers need to make sure it will do the same in human subjects before testing it.
