A new scientific investigation suggests that evil civilizations co-exist with us in our galaxy. The author says that these other non-Earthly groups could count as many as four civilizations scattered across space.

A bizarre study implies that there are approximately four various civilizations in the Milky Way galaxy that are 'malicious.' These populations live somewhere near the solar system and right inside our galaxy's backyard.

Chances of Other Life Forms Existing in Our Galaxy

LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND - FEBRUARY 20: Revellers in extraterrestrial costumes celebrate during the carnival parade (Fritschi Umzug) on February 20, 2020, in Lucerne, Switzerland. Lucerne Carnival (Fasnacht) will be held in Lucerne from February 20 - 24. It is the biggest event in Central Switzerland, taking place annually in February or March.

Spanish scientist Alberto Caballero carried out the estimates in the mind-blowing paper. According to him, it is safe to assume that extraterrestrial beings are living among us in the galaxy and possibly, in many parts of the entire universe.

Caballero explains that these beings might have similarities with the human species regarding the invasion and war-related capabilities. If ever this might be true, the expert said that it is likely that most of these extraterrestrial civilizations pose a serious threat to the inhabitants of Earth.

Caballero is not an astrophysicist but a specialist in conflict resolution at the University of Vigo in Spain. In a report by Vice, a number of previous papers led by Caballero exist. Most of these studies are focused on the search for extraterrestrial intelligence or SETI.

Among his famous research was published in the University of Cambridge's International Journal of Astrobiology, titled "An approximation to determine the source of the WOW! Signal."

According to this peer-reviewed study, messages from unearthly beings were beamed to our planet in 1977. The 72-second codes, which came from a sun-like stellar body, are considered one of the most solid pieces of evidence of communication relayed by other life forms, The Byte reports.

The latest study was constructed through estimates based on how the current technological advancements have been carried out through time. Caballero's conclusion was supported by this formula, which included rates of how non-stop innovations would likely influence the sense of invasion between various civilizations.

Hostile Cosmic Beings?

The data involved information gathered throughout historical invasions here on Earth. These real-world performances and responses of people over territories were then compared to the potentially habitable exoplanets outside the solar system but were limited to the region of the Milky Way.

Results show a high chance of at least four extraterrestrial civilizations with the most hostile intent regarding territorial diplomacy. But even though we might experience an unfortunate event with invaders from outer space, Caballero emphasized that the likelihood of our planet being hit by a killer asteroid has greater odds, Futurism reports.

Caballero said the paper was solely based on our life experiences throughout history. The limited data it offers is anchored to life as we know it, as there is not much to tell about how the minds of extraterrestrials work.

A living civilization apart from us might have a different structure of the brain and distinct chemical compositions we do not know, and these alone would not suffice to predict if they feel empathy and experience psychopathological behaviors, Caballero adds.

The preprint was presented in arXiv, titled "Estimating the prevalence of malicious extraterrestrial civilizations."
