While artificial intelligence has been applied in various ways, an AI artist has used it to imagine how iconic figures, such as Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg, would look if they were poverty-stricken.

AI Imagines How These Poverty-stricken Billionaires Would Look Like

According to Futurism, this feat was done by the India-based artist Gokul Pillai. He used Midjourney, an AI image generator that follows text prompts, to come up with these realistic looking shots of iconic public features.

His lineup included seven figures, namely, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Mukesh Ambani, and Donald Trump.

In his Instagram post, Pillai captioned the shots with the statement "Slumdog Millionaires," mirroring the 2008 hit movie.

The images depict stereotypical features regarding the conditions that come with poverty. The billionaires are seen wearing ragged clothes while standing in front of slums. The posts have garnered strong reactions from the public. According to NDTV, one user replied by stating how the image is gold but that Elon Musk still looks rich despite "being poor." Another also said that their cases were more like "slumdog billionaires." Pillai was quite overwhelmed with the responses that he received. According to Metro UK, the artist expresses how he knew that it would be hilarious, but the response that he had received was quite unprecedented.

AI-generated Images of Model Mark Zuckerberg

Before this AI-generated image lineup of iconic figures, there had been circulating images of Mark Zuckerberg walking down the runway. While they may have looked realistic, these shots were also AI-generated.

While these images depict a very flashy wardrobe, Mark Zuckerberg is known to dress quite simply and repeatedly. The Times of India reports that the billionaire mentioned before that his "decision fatigue" makes him choose to wear the same types of jeans and shirts every day. Zuckerberg thinks that he is not doing his job if he shells out his energy on frivolous or silly things. This way, he can dedicate his efforts to coming up with the best services and products, moving closer to their goals, reaching their mission to connect individuals all over the world, and enabling them to stay connected. These are the things that Zuckerberg cares about.

In other words, the man would rather think about mind-blowing innovations than spend time deciding which shirt to wear.

Going back, these AI-generated images just show how several artists are capitalizing on AI to come up with innovative digital outputs. In fact, several of these images look remarkably advanced, to the point where they could be mistaken for real.
