From eating fried foods, drinking some hot drinks, taking medicines and multivitamins to consuming a few more drinks, getting a hangover is nothing to worry in Australia now following the recent opening of the first IV hydration hangover clinic.

As the name implies, "Hangover Clinic" is a dispensary that opened just this week now offers patients an option of cures ranging from IV drips to vitamin cocktails and some other medications. The new clinic offers an entirely new cure to a very old problem most party people face.

Advertising as the "revolutionary IV hangover," the clinic's treatment could last between 30 minutes to 1 hour. The treatment introduces anti-hangover medications to beat those post-party symptoms. The package includes administering saline, sodium, vitamins, mineral, oxygen and anti-nausea meds directly through the bloodstream.

However, before availing to any of their promising offers, patients should ensure they have enough money to be admitted. Treatments cost as much as AU$140 (US$100) to AU$200 (US$144).

But not everyone is pleased with its grand opening. Australia's Public Health Association chief executive Michael Moore expressed that "This encourages people to use alcohol in an entirely inappropriate way and it's something the government should look at very, very carefully." Other experts believe this discredits the efforts exerted to combat harm brought by alcohol.

"We don't serve alcohol. We are not a pub. We encourage binge drinking as much as hospitals encourage people to get sick," in response, Hangover Clinic's co-founder Max Petro stated.

This is not the first hangover clinic was established. In New York City, a "hangover bus " roams around the city to pick up and assist drunk people; this was kickstarted at the beginning of 2015 by a hangover club. Also in Vegas, revellers can order takeout IV drips to their hotel rooms.

Nevertheless, National AMA president Stephen Parnis reminded that this is not a magic cure to hangover, and binge drinkers still face detrimental consequences when alcohol is consumed at heavy levels.
