SpaceX performed a Starship rocket test that broke all previous records and then wheeled a newer Super Heavy prototype to the launch pad in hours.

Almost six weeks after starting the static fire test campaign for Super Heavy Booster 7, SpaceX has made history by simultaneously lighting seven Raptor engines.

Teslarati said SpaceX CEO Elon Musk's plans were confirmed in real-time after the company moved a second Super Heavy prototype (Booster 8) from the facility to the launch pad and joined Booster 7.

According to Musk, those rockets will shortly exchange positions, ensuring no time is lost as SpaceX continues to prepare for Starship's initial orbital launch attempts steadily.

SpaceX Starship Successfully Fired its 7 Engines

Elon Musk posted a video to his Twitter page that included the Starship's upgraded engine and a successful static fire test of the company's seven engines. Another Booster 7 test was conducted by the business, demonstrating its readiness for higher-level testing required by SpaceX for its upcoming endeavors.

The film demonstrated how the Starship could pass its test without incident, guaranteeing that there would be no further explosions or issues. It expects the company's upcoming launches, which will focus on adding additional engines, on finishing the process.

According to Musk in a separate tweet, Booster 7's testing period is over, and it will now return to high bay for more improvements. Following that, the business will begin testing its Booster 8 and will soon arrive at the test site for the static fire test.

Before Musk and SpaceX eventually turn their attention to testing all the Starship engines, more tests will be conducted, with a static fire test coming in a few weeks.

SpaceX Starship's Future

In its most recent Super Heavy test, Space.com explained that SpaceX staged a static fire with three Raptor engines, doubling the number of machines seen in that test.

Although SpaceX had previously tested two of the Starship's six Raptors concurrently in a static fire on August 9, it was the first multi-engine static fire the firm has carried out on the Super Heavy rocket.

While SpaceX has indicated that it intends to launch the vehicle for an orbital test in the next months, it has not provided a planned date for the test of the whole Starship stack.

According to Musk, SpaceX's Starship system test will be a full stack wet dress rehearsal and 33 engine firing in a few weeks.
